Abstract submission is now closed
Please read the following instructions carefully and then use the abstract submission form to submit your Europic 2010 abstract. AbstractsAll registrants are encouraged to submit one or more scientific abstracts for the meeting. All abstracts1 will be accepted and presented as posters during the poster sessions on the Sunday and Tuesday evenings. Submitted abstracts will be used to select individuals who will be invited to present offered papers at Europic 2010. The closing date for the receipt of abstracts is the 31st. of July. This allows the organisers time to shortlist abstracts for presentation as offered papers. Abstracts submitted late cannot be considered for offered papers and may not be included in online or printed material. Abstract booksIn a change from previous Europic meetings both the preparation and distribution of abstract books for Europic 2010 will be entirely digital. Abstracts will be available online two weeks before the meeting (linked from the conference programme and as an indexed PDF document) and will be provided on a CD to all registrants. Please include a URL to your laboratory if available. Abstract formatPlease follow these guidelines during the preparation of your abstract:
Submitted abstracts will be automatically reformatted to match the rules listed above during the indexing process. Abstracts that do not match the required format will returned to authors. We have provided an example abstract in Microsoft Word format, and following conversion to PDF format. How to submit your abstractAbstract submission will open in early May 2010. Registrants will be sent an email announcing when abstract submission is open. You must be registered for Europic 2010 to submit an abstract and you will need to quote your five digit registration number (e.g. 12345) during abstract submission. You may submit more than one abstract. Abstracts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Abstracts are submitted for individual scientific sessions (see the scientific programme). In reviewing the abstracts we may suggest presentation in a different session. Abstracts are submitted associated with the name of the presenting author. We will rename your submitted abstract to reflect the selected session and author name. You will receive an email 'receipt' for your abstract which contains an embedded link allowing you to delete an abstract should you want to. You should only do this if you want to withdraw the abstract from consideration, for example if you want to update your abstract you will need to delete the original submission and make a new submission. Upload problems? If you experience problems uploading your abstract please try another web browser ... one or two users have reported error messages using Firefox on a Mac which were overcome by switching to Safari.
