The all important social programme ...

There is a long-tradition of excellent social interactions at all Europic meetings. We fully intend to continue this tradition and have the following events planned:

Welcome reception

There will be a reception with drinks and a buffet meal on the evening of the 11^th of September (Saturday). This will be held in the Lower College Hall, a short walk from New Hall along North Street. Lower College Hall is set back from North Street.

Social afternoon

We have an enjoyable afternoon in and around St. Andrews planned for Monday the 13^th of September. We will not be leaving the town, but will need to be prepared for inclement weather. Please also wear comfortable footwear and bring your digital camera if you have one.

Poster sessions

There will be a wine reception at each of the two poster sessions. Please see the scientific programme for further details.

Banquet

The conference banquet will be held in the Old Course Hotel on the 15^th of September. The banquet will be followed by a ceilidh (pronounced kaylee) - a Gaelic social dance event traditionally used to facilitate courting and prospects of marriage. However, don't let that put you off. Music will be provided by a ceilidh band and full training will be provided ;-)
