How to get there

St. Andrews is on the east coast of Fife, Scotland, UK. The town is about 50 miles north of Edinburgh and 80 miles east of Glasgow. It is over 450 miles north of London.

The University of St. Andrews has comprehensive instructions on travel by air, rail and road, including links to the relevant airports and train companies.

Air

Edinburgh and Glasgow both have international airports, serving many European and US destinations. We will be running a coach service from Edinburgh airport to/from St. Andrews on the arrival and departure days. If there is sufficient demand we will also run coaches from Glasgow to St. Andrews via Edinburgh. We will email registrants in due course with booking details for these coaches.

Rail

Please use Cupar station for arrivals on Saturday - Leuchars station is effectively closed for the airshow. We will provide transport from Cupar station ONLY.

St. Andrews does not have a railway station. The nearest station is Leuchars (about 5 miles away) which is on the main line from London Kings Cross via Edinburgh to Dundee and Aberdeen. We will run a shuttle bus service to/from the conference venue to Leuchars on arrival and departure days. There are also infrequent commercial buses from Leuchars to St. Andrews - 2 to 3 per hour during the day.

Road

Please refer to the St. Andrews University website for suggested routes by car. Free parking will be available throughout the conference outside New Hall.
